Precision Test Systems is pleased to announce it has
been recently awarded ISO9001:2008 certification.
The certificate was issued by QAS International, a
leading certification company based in the United
Kingdom.
The certificate is shown above on the left. On the
right hand side Mr. Stefan Schenkelberg hands the
certificate to Mr. Martyn Smith, managing director of
Precision Test Systems Ltd.
Mr. Martyn Smith wrote the following as to why Precision
Test Systems sort ISO9001 approval.
"My personal background was not only in electronic
engineering but also Quality Control and Quality
Assurance, having started with British Telecom as a QA
inspector, many moons ago! Therefore I was confident our
management and quality systems exceeding those
requirement by the ISO standard. Therefore, we
never sort ISO9001 approval.
However, over the last four years, our sales have
increased by about 20% per annum and we started
supplying the worlds top organizations. We were
constantly being asked whether we were ISO 9001 approved
and it became necessary for formal qualification.
I am pleased to say meeting ISO9001:2008 requirements
was very simply and involved no major changes to our
systems. With the help of QAS International, we
easily achieved ISO9001:2008 approval.
This will satisfy our customers and give them more
confidence in our products."
2009: Record year for Precision Test Systems Ltd.
Our sales has been growing at about 20% per annum over
the past four years. The main reason is that we
continue to get the same amount of new customers, but we
do keep our existing customers. The majority of
our customers come back to us with further orders.
2009 was a record year for us with a 25% increase in
sales, this despite a so called recession. We are only
one week into our 2010/11 year and our order book is
already at 61% of last years sales. Therefore,
2010/2011 will be another record for us with sales
increasing by at least 50% on 2009/10.
Because of this rapid increase in sales, we have moved
our production to a large factory just one mile from our
head office in Essex, England. The new factory
also operates under ISO9001:2008 and has the capacity to
easily meet our demands for production. |
