Rubidium
Oscillator
The RFS10F is a free running rubidium oscillator or
frequency standard available from Precision Test
Systems.
This product is in use all over the world and uses our
high performance, low phase noise, rubidium oscillator
module.
The standard RFS10F is available in a 19" rack mount
case and has five isolated 10 MHz outputs. Also
there is a 1 pps output derived from the rubidium.
The phase noise of the RFS10F oscillator is up to 30 dB
lower than our competitors, thanks to a unique,
innovative, phase locking mechanism used in our rubidium
oscillator.
Also the rubidium oscillator has been designed for a
twenty year typical life. Ageing is only 5 x 10E-9
for the entire 20 year life or 5 x 10E-10 per year or 5
x 10E-11 per month. We back this up with our no
quibble 3 year warranty.
Many options exist and if there isn't the option you
want, we will design it for you.
Options include the following:

An extra
five, ten or fifteen sinewave outputs. All
outputs are isolated by 90 dB with respect to each
other and there is over 130 dB of isolation between
any output and the rubidium oscillator itself.

External
locking input. Lock the rubidium to an
external signal, such as 1 pps, 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 13
MHz etc. Also the 1 pps output can be time
tagged to this locking input.

Change of
frequency, e.g. 5 MHz, 75 MHz, 100 MHz, 1575.42 MHz
etc.

Ultra low
phase noise output. -110 dBc @ 1 Hz with a
-175 dBc/Hz noise floor.
